About Me
I’m Asim Iqbal, a Technical Producer and Production Lead with 15+ years of experience across AAA outsourcing, independent game development, external development, and real-time production.
My career began in 3D art and environment production, which gave me a strong technical and visual foundation before I moved into production, project management, level design, outsourcing, and cross-disciplinary leadership. That background helps me bridge art, engineering, design, and business needs rather than approaching production from only one side.
I’ve led distributed teams, built outsourcing pipelines, managed client and vendor relationships, improved production workflows, and helped projects recover from scope, scheduling, and technical challenges.
My recent work includes BeetleBall across level design, technical art, environment production, and workflow development. I’m also creating and directing Catch Me – You’re It, where I lead production, gameplay design, level design, technical implementation, multiplayer development, and overall creative direction.
I work best where complex creative and technical problems need to be turned into clear plans, practical decisions, and reliable delivery.
My Journey
I started my career in 3D art and environment development, which gave me hands-on experience with the creative and technical foundations of game production. From there, I moved into level design, technical art, asset management, outsourcing, and eventually production and leadership roles.
Working across smaller studios and distributed teams gave me the opportunity to wear many hats and understand how art, design, engineering, vendors, schedules, and budgets all connect. That breadth became one of my strongest advantages as I moved into producer and project-management roles.
Over the years, I’ve continued to stay close to hands-on development while leading teams and production. I regularly work inside Unity, troubleshoot real-time content, design gameplay systems and levels, improve workflows, and build tools that help teams iterate faster.
Today, my focus is on technical production, external development, and game delivery, while continuing to develop original multiplayer projects such as Catch Me – You’re It.
